Does it really give you bad credit when you check your credit often? If it does why? Please explain

checking youw own credit does not count against you. it is when others-like auto places or credit cards check it when it starts counting against it.

In Canada, Trans Union/Equifax do not disclose to creditors the number of times I check my credit rating, however I do believe it does report how many times others inquire about me credit rating.

Some companies dont like to see too much activity, dont know reasoning

No,it does not matter how many times you check your credit,it is actually a good habit to stay on top of your finances. But keep in mind, any enquiry done by some other third party like a loan firm or some agency,it does show badly on your credit report so make sure you don%26#039;t authorize just anybody to enquire on your credit.

i have not heard of checking your credit causes any problems with your rating....if you keep applying for more credit m then it does put a dot along your report. take it slow when asking for credit or limit requests, that makes the credit card company wonder about what you are doing..[ 6 months to a year is acceptable for new applications, keep it steady and pay on time and you will be ok]
