im applying with a airline. and i know that they do a background check wich is fine. but does that include your credit?i have very bad credit but nothing other than that.

Yes, they will check credit, but they are not looking at your credit score. More like they are checking do you have multiple garnishments or liens against you right now. Are there legal issues with your credit that will affect with your employment? (Have you embezzled money from a company and are now applying to be a ticket agent who handles money from customers)

Believe me when I say, if bad credit is what they are looking for, then I should never have gotten hired!!! I had really bad credit when I started, but am slowly making it better!! Bad credit shouldn%26#039;t affect you.

They would be looking for any criminal activity you may have gotten involved in. Robbery, murder, drug crime, sex crimes, assault etc etc. Also any involment in suspicious organisations - from neo-Nazi organisations to obvious terrorist cells.

They may also do a 5 year history check, to see just what you have been doing for the last 5 years of your life. ie. where were you working, where did you travel to, did you disappear into the wilds of Afghanistan for a year in 2002 ... that kind of stuff.
