So I%26#039;m new to all this stuff.. my first credit card.. :) I need a cash advance, my finance company for my car doesn%26#039;t accept AmEx. I can pay this back in about a month, in full. Is it better for me to get a %26#039;cash advance check%26#039; or just to take it out of the ATM? I have no clue what a cash advance check is or how to get one. I know I%26#039;m pretty much going to get ripped either way, so.. still, I would like to do whatever ends up being cheapest. On the norm Bank of America will charge you 2 to 3% transaction fee. so if you get

$1000.00 the fee is $30.00 then apon that you will have finance charges every month till paid off. If they are offering you 0% intrest for 12 month during a intro period, thats not to bad if you pay it off quick. But remember also if you do this and lets say a few weeks later you go out and charge something at a store and it falls under the normal intrest rate ( 8.9% for example) all your future payments you make will apply to any ballance with the lowest rate. That means that $1000.00 you borrowed thats not paid off yet ,all your monthly payments will go towards it before the item you charge at a store at the 8.9% and that small charge will keep adding up till the cash advance is paid off.( That can be very costly)
