I know people charge gifts all the time, it just seems odd that someone would give a gift like this. I received this and feel very uncomfortable about depositing it.

Hell yes I would cash it, Money is money, and it is a gift so you really should use it. It is a gift, so there is no reason to feel uncomfortable.

If it was given as a gift, then I%26#039;m sure the intention was for you to cash it. I can see how you%26#039;d feel uncomfortable, but perhaps this was the most convenient way of gifting the money to you? I would treat it like any other gift. Cash it and say thank you. Hope that helps!

P.S I%26#039;ve been given a cheque before as a gift, the person who gave it to me didn%26#039;t get out a lot to access cash, and it was just easier for her.
