How am I suppose to check my credit score? I've been to.....?

freecreditreport.com, truecreditreport.com, annualreport.com and they are ALL USELESS!. All they do is collect your info and thats it nothing else. They say nothing about what my score whether its 600, 700, 800. I don%26#039;t know but the meaning of the word free means you DO NOT pay. But they say I have to pay $5, $6, even up to $10 to get your report. But I don%26#039;t want to know what my report is, I already know that I just want to know what my credit score is, thats all is that too much to ask for!

To get a free ESTIMATE of your fico score, go to http://www.myfico.com/ficocreditscoreest...

You can%26#039;t get a FREE credit score. Everyone charges for the score. There are some %26#039;free%26#039; trials but you give your credit card number at the beginning, and if you don%26#039;t cancel in 30 days, you%26#039;ll have to pay a monthly fee forever (until you cancel the service)

You can get free credit reports (different from a score) at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i...

I hope that helps.

Additional comment:

Ordering your credit score directly from one of the credit reporting agencies does NOT lower your score.

If you%26#039;d like to learn more about your FICO score, this link: http://www.fairisaac.com/NR/rdonlyres/DA... is to a pamphlet put out by Fair Isaac Co. (the company that designed the FICO score)

I have heard that this one is much better than all the rest, and it%26#039;s free. I haven%26#039;t tried it yet, but plan to.

http://www.myfico.com/ -You can get your credit report AND your credit score there.

Freecreditreport.com gives you 1 free credit report per year but NOT your credit score. Those are two different things. The credit report is free but you%26#039;ll have to pay around $5 if you want your credit score.

Yes, a credit report - detailing your history - can be requested from the 3 major credit companies once a year (per company) as designated by law. However, to get your actual score costs a nominal fee.

I would advise checking your credit score too often, though, as checking it causes it to drop a bit.

You can get a free report from each of the reporting agencies at annualcreditreport.com. The credit score is different and you will have to pay between $5-10 for it. The best place is myfico.com.

call a mortgage lender or bank and talk to them like you want to refinance. They will pull your credit. They are not supposed to give you a copy but with a little coaxing, you can get it. At the very least, they will tell you your scores.

There is nothing free. The more you check the lower your score will be so becareful. The only way to get it free is to apply for a mortgage loan. Then aproved or not aproved, you have the right to ask for your credit scores, normally would be the average of 3 major credit report companies.

AnnualCreditReport.com is the only place to get your free credit report from each credit bureau. It%26#039;s set up for just this purpose. All the other sites give you a free 30 day period after signing up for some kind of monitoring service -- which can be very difficult to cancel.

You are entitled to a free credit report but you have to pay for your score. There isn%26#039;t any place to get a free score.
